Welcome everyone! Whatever it was that brought you here, whether through invitation, curiosity or a malfunctioning keyboard, I'm glad you're here.
Few things in this life have any real lasting value. As one gets older this becomes more and more evident. One thing that does have lasting value and actually becomes more and more valuable with time is truth. I'm talking about truth that brings purpose, meaning and peace to your life. This is the truth we will be pursuing.
Since the late 1990's I have had a hunger to understand biblical eschatology. Eschatology is the study of the last things. Some understand this to be the end of the natural physical world. However, I have never been able to square this idea to what the bible teaches. I believe the bible does teach "the end of the age". The end of the age is marked by the passing of the "heavens and the earth" which is followed by a "new heavens and earth". This is the New Creation. But what exactly does all that mean? During my research, I was fortunate enough to discover author and bible teacher Maurice Rogers. I would encourage you to visit his website at www.christhasalready.com. The studies I've posted below are linked to his VideoCast content. I've included the bible passage links he references in his video teachings for your convenience. The first study below looks into the passing of the first "Heavens and Earth". The next study then follows up with a look at the "New Heavens and Earth" in connection with the Genesis creation account. I hope you find it engaging and enlightening. Ultimately, I hope you see yourself, a believer as a New Creature in Christ.
